Egypt Mission
The mission of SOWIM at its founding – “to provide seed to the sower and bread to the eater” – is to spread God’s Word like seeds to every corner of the world. 13 Bible multimedia videos and reading materials,10 short-term missions to Taiwan, 2 missions to Egypt, and the use of our materials across 5 continents in 38 countries – this is only the beginning!
Egypt was a country where Christianity was widespread starting from the first century AD. However, since the invasion of Islamic rule, Muslims now make up 80% of the country’s population. Therefore, SOWIM’s “1000 Muslims Project” has consistently listed Egypt as one of the regions to receive spiritual resources, distributing 1,000 sets of Arabic teaching materials annually.
At the end of January, SOWIM’s founder, Pastor Susan Chen, visited Egypt to introduce the Arabic version of the Book of Ruth produced by SOWIM. Churches, pastors, and believers in Cairo, Luxor, and Asyut greatly appreciated it and expressed hope that SOWIM would continue to produce more Arabic audio-visual Bible study materials…
