How to use the Book of Esther for discipleship training ?
The study of the Book of Esther is not meant for us to solely focus on Esther’s successes, or how Mordecai wisely rescued the Jews from peril. In our own lives, we should not be fixated only on personal achievements and overlook God’s unseen workings behind the scenes. Past successes do not guarantee future triumphs. Rather, let us learn to discern how God sovereignly rescues us through various circumstances, and praise His everlasting reign.
The Chronicles Discipleship Seminar is starting!
About one-seventh of Chronicles is devoted to genealogies. What does reading other people’s genealogies have to do with discipleship training? We are starting our study this month. Let us enter the book of Chronicles with the perspective on discipleship and through the SOWIM’s Bible reading journey, participate in discipleship training for God and live out the chronicles of God together!

Egypt mission trip vision – Sister Cai
Thank God for leading SOWIM short-term mission team to and from Egypt safely. In addition to participating in God’s work there, the spiritual vision of the short-term mission partners was also renewed. The following is a message shared by one of the partners, Sister Cai:
“This mission trip is more like a spiritual training for me. I have a broader vision of the kingdom of God, and I have also made a great stride in the growth of my spiritual life. After returning to Taiwan, I couldn’t wait to share what I saw and heard in Egypt with my relatives and friends. They were also moved by the perseverance of the Egyptian Christians in their faith. In addition to understanding the hardships of the local Christians and Muslims, I also gained a deeper understanding of the kingdom of Egypt in the Bible. I was even more deeply touched by the conversations shared in church and the insights gained during the spiritual devotion on the Book of Job.
I am really grateful to God for leading me to participate in such a precious journey. I believe that God will continue to do wonderful things in the Muslim region. I will also continue to express my gratitude to God in prayers, asking God to remember the dedication of SOWIM, so that more people will receive great blessings in their spiritual lives.”
