Dear brothers and sisters, peace be with you!
Next week, I will be leaving for Egypt, to bring the Arabic version Book of Esther Bible study set which has been produced by SOW International Ministries to Egypt, the neighboring countries and the churches in the Palestinian autonomous region. This is my first trip to Egypt and is also the first time SOW team uses the Bible Study sets to teach the Christians in the Arabic countries. It is estimated about 1,000 pastors and coworkers coming to the meetings. We will hand out 500 sets of study guides. If you are touched to support these study guides, please click here.
We will visit the churches in Cairo and neighboring cities, a local seminary and a historical monastery. In the early church history, Alexandria, an important city in Egypt was for the church fathers to study Bible and to spread the gospel. The first Greek translation of Hebrew old testament, commonly called the Septuagint Bible was accomplished by 72 translators working together in Alexandria. Egypt was once a critical place of gospel during the time of the New Testament. Although now a days, it has been controlled by the Islam religion for a long time, God did not forget his people when the gospel is on its way to return to Jerusalem. The wave of spiritual revival is being raised in Egypt. We will see thousands and thousands of Muslims becoming followers of Jesus Christ.
3 years ago, God moved us to start the “Muslim 1000” to send 1000 sets of study guides to missionaries in the Muslim countries. In the last 3 years, the fruit has been far exceeding our imagination. You are welcome to click here to hear their testimonies. Today, God also marvelously opened this door to the Arabic countries in the middle east. Without God’s leading ahead we won’t be able to know these Arabic churches at the other side of the earth which are far away from us. Now as I am going to start my journey, I pray courageously in my heart through the faith in God,
“I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.” (Psalms 9:1-2)
“Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion. Declare his deeds among the peoples.” (Psalms 9:11)
Today, we became the children of God’s family, God’s salvation and blessing has to be shared and spread through us. Regardless of our race, or language, we not only receive the blessing from God, but also be the channel of this blessing. We can be the blessing not only to our family, our working place but also to our community and our country. Furthermore, we should have the eternal vision to preach this gospel to all the people and nations, because in the future in heaven “After this I looked, and there was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, robed in white, with palm branches in their hands. They cried out in a loud voice, saying, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!’” (Rev. 7:9-10)
May God’s grace and peace be with you every day, and bless your life be filled with glory and joy.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
